Why we are unique

Your benefits ˅

Digitize your Data. Forget clunky spreadsheets.

Get access to data creation tools with analytics modules

In TransiTool web app, you can upload GTFS data, create them from scratch or upload some tables and create the rest of the data. TransiTool implements intuitive modules in the backend and frontend that automate many processes during data creation providing early warnings or correcting data when possible, easing the creation procedure and reducing errors. TransiTool will also validate your data during import, export or when requested using a modified version of Google’s TransitFeed library.

Concentrate all your data in a central database

Keep your data in one place, with updates that roll out to all connections

When updating data, you have to implement the “update-evaluate-export-disseminate” cycle, so that all locations that have your data are also running the latest versions. Those locations can be map providers, collaborators or even your organization’s website that provides journey planning functionalities. TransiTool handles everything in the cycle from the moment you update the data: when you make an update, your data are evaluated and all other applications that are connected to TransiTool will receive the updated data. TransiTool reduces the time requirements for evaluating and disseminating data leading to cost and time savings.

Publish your schedules on maps or share them with others

Interoperability is the epicenter of TransiTool’s operations

Publishing data to 3rd parties or your own applications requires a layer of translations executed so that the data received matches the expectations of the receiver. Think of when your partner requests NeTEx data but what you have is GTFS. You would need to spend hours creating a translation tool and more hours integrating it in your service. With TransiTool at hand, you can leave this work to us. Translation and transformation algorithms embedded in TransiTool will tackle the required data transformations while the APIs of TransiTool will allow the connection with third parties providing you with interoperability and programming/engineering hours saved.

Streamline your processes

Create standardized data based on concrete data models and storage techniques

Different data consumers require data in different standards and formats. GTFS require text (.txt) files, NeTEx requires .xml files, your website route planner might require JSON files and so on. In addition, the requirements behind standardization are confusing and sometimes poorly documented. TransiTool has implemented and is continuously researching additions to an extensible and state-of-the-art data management system using the latest technologies in data storage through continuous and rigorous research. The extensibility of its backend and the data analytics toolset that is embedded in TransiTool for standardization activities provide versatility to generate different data formats.
